The superstar will play 13 arena shows across the UK in September and October this year, kicking off in Newcastle on September 18 and including two shows at London's O2 Arena.

A press release states the production of the show will centre around the 'Golden' theme, but will also celebrate her catalogue of hits, including 50 Top 40 singles on the Official Chart. Check out 50 Official Chart facts about Kylie in celebration of her new album here.

She tweeted: "I am SO. INCREDIBLY. EXCITED to announce my Golden UK & Ireland tour!! ? I can't wait to see you lovers ?"

Kylie first hit the No.1 spot in the UK back in 1987 with I Should Be So Lucky, returning to the top of the charts with the likes of Tears On My PillowSpinning AroundCan’t Get You Out Of My Head, and Slow.

“Now that I’ve been to Nashville, I understand”, Kylie says of the record. “It’s like some sort of musical ley-line.”

Minogue has teamed up with writers Steve McEwan, who has worked with the likes of Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, and Amy Wadge, who has collaborated with Ed Sheeran among others, to evolve her pop sound.
